I've often been asked, "Why do you write so many anti-Trump letters to newspapers? You won't change anyone's mind."

I know I'll influence neither the racists, ignoramuses nor crazies who comprise the mindless cult of Donald Trump, nor the greedy fat cats, whose happiness is tied to artificially inflated stock prices.

I hope to appeal to those one-issue voters, who reluctantly admit what a flawed, despicable and dangerous individual the former president really is, but will still vote for him because they've been hoodwinked by his pseudo anti-abortion posturing.

This includes many devout Catholics and dedicated Evangelicals.

Trump has adopted this stance to win votes. He has no fundamental faith--he lacks any sincere convictions.

He is the quintessential conman, charlatan and poseur.

It's tragic that truly devout, religious people know what he is, yet blindly back him.

Trump has repeatedly asserted his intent to nullify the Constitution, destroy democracy and rule as a dictator.

Are you Trump devotees really willing to throw away our democratic republic, our American way of life and all it stands for for a hypocritical, pharisaical phony who will say or do anything to get elected?
