I agree with Vice President Harris, politics are about tomorrow. Not about some mythical past, but about forming a 21st century we desire for ourselves, our children, and our country.

Strengthening democracy by passing neglected voting legislation, ensuring every American's right to vote and have their vote count is critical. Constitutional amendments are required to counter anti-democratic rulings by our Supreme Court. A strong Democratic majority in both houses of Congress is needed to get started.

Respect for every human being is basic. Families of all types must be respected and supported. Tested policies like a national family/sickness paid leave is needed. The refundable child tax credit must be made permanent and child care supported. Free, improved education is essential. Universal health care is a necessity. New ideas are needed to tackle housing costs. Action is needed to keep our planet liveable.

Every American deserves to share in the prosperity they help create. Counter inequality by empowering family bread winners to unionize through the PRO Act, an increased minimum wage, and strengthened Labor Department support.

Security begins at home. Continue lowering violent crime and enforce laws fairly. Community policing must work with mental health and social workers to build safe neighborhoods. Justice must prevail.

Internationally America must work with our democratic allies to advance democracy and justice around the world since world events affect us too.

Life for Americans will improve when proven policies are put into effect. Help create a 21st Century America, vote Democratic!
