COP BEATERS FREED!
Yes, that was the headline from Washington. Pardoning violent assailants of the Capitol and D.C. police officers in revenge for his criminal indictments and conviction made sense to the felon-in-chief in the White House. He is even thinking of having a party in our White House for these violent assailants.
Last Tuesday a crime victim's cell phone rang repeatedly telling him, in accordance with the federal Crime Victims' Rights Act, that his assailants had been freed from prison. Some of the sentenced and freed assailants threatened him, so he felt he had to apply for restraining orders against these criminals to keep himself and his family safe. The crime victim was one of the D C Police officers attacked on January 6th, 2021: Michael Fanone.
Some 608 of the pardoned were convicted of assaulting, resisting, or impeding law enforcement. Now with these violent criminals returning to our streets we will be less safe and secure. Local police will have to be on alert. One parolee has already been rearrested on gun charges.
America is less safe and secure today than it was before January 20th. Many neighborhoods are less secure, many American families are less secure.
